Need to replace the water filter on my hotpoint no frost csx22re side by side. where does it located and where can i purchase a filter?

your model number doesn't come up.if it's an older machine some didn't come with water filters,you had to add an inline filter on the copper water line,you would run your copper,go down the cellar or behind the machine,cut the copper and the filter connects in between the copper where you cut the line.if you do have a filter it could be in the fridge section top right side or down in the bottom kickplate.i found your model the a was missing after the b baww.it doesn't show a filter,this is an older unit,check behind or in basement,wherever the water line goes and see if there's a filter added into it,if not you can cut the copper and add a filter yourself.home depot sells them

Here is the link to the installation/operation manual for that unit. I went through it and didn't see a water filter listed. That model may not have a factory filter on it. It is possible that an aftermarket filter was installed on it. If that is the case, then you will have to go to the filter manufacturer's site.

Most likely water valve dripping water slowly and freezing. Replace water valve if this is the case v

filter is located at the bottom rear of the appliance... if its pump obstruction then to lay the drain hose into a bowl is a means of getting the water out manually.. if its a blockage and water wont drain this way then lay the unit down on its R/H side (not soap dispenser side)....then acces to the filter can be made without flooding the place..best if 2 persons were to do this as the machine can be heavy when full with water and clothes.. best of luck..

Did you install the water filter. If you have, possibly it needs replacement. (blocked). Water has to run through filter first.

sounds like the water inlet valve is not letting the water come in. need to check and perhaps replace this valve. hope this helps.

You are correct as to the location of the filter.
Remove rear panel, locate large black hose at right lower side.
Remove securing clip and hose, inside you will see the plastic filter, remove and clean filter, note location of plastic ball.
Refit filter and hose, and securely fasten hose back on.
When you remove hose, watch out for water, as there will be some in the hose.

water test before fitting panel back on.

I don't think this model has a filter, I checked under the kickplate, no filter there.

I had the same problem, and had to replace the temp regulator. It is located on the refrigerator side, by the water filter. It took me 15 to 20 minutes to replace it.
