Hi pplmelita,
If you don't have a petcock to turn the fuel off below the tank, I would disconnect the line at the filter and drain the gas out that way.
If you're wanting completely drain all old gas out, drain as above and then run until dry.

Didn't help a bit since I had put deisel in my gas welder & my fuel filter level left 3-4 gallons in the tank. I expected to get diagrams & explicit instructions instead of 'duh-drain it at the fuel line.'. This site is a waste of money. I paid 12$ for 1 professional solution. What a hoax. Don't waste your money.
