I have my sanyo SCP-2700 connected to my macbook pro by usb cord but the computer is not recognizing any attached disk. Is there a way to transfer photos from the cellphone to the computer (i have no data service currently on cellphone) - my service is through Sprint.

I do not know of any carrier that doesn't have MMS messaging. It's almost a standard for cellphones these days.

There also is no desktop software for that phone at all. It's too cheap and basic for Sanyo to really care enough about it.

I have that phone too. They don't make a desktop software for it. It's too "simple" of a phone.

The charger port is standard micro-usb, because it's a universal "charger" size. It's not for data transfer or anything. It's just for charging.

Ok just transfer first all the pictures you wanted to put in the computer to the memory card of your cellphone. After that if you have a card reader remove the memory card in your pc and insert it in your card reader then plugged the card reader to the computer..make sure your card reader is detected by your pc if it is and read your memory card then import the pictures.

The Sanyo SCP-2700 cell phone does not support 'browsing' or file transfer. The suggested course of action is to upload the photos to Picturemail - please be sure you have the Picturemail service and a data plan, otherwise it will get expensive.

Once the photos are uploaded to Picturemail, you can download them to your PC singly or as a ZIP archive.

In the phone menu, in tools, you should have an option for data transfers. Set this option then connect to your computer. Your system should see it as another drive as you are accessing the data.

Don't make one for that phone I'm sorry. That's a micro-usb charging port, it's a universal size.

Unfortunately they where right you would need the driver (which isn't available-from a legitimate source) so you will not be able to transfer them.

The drivers for Sanyo 2700 are here. I'm told you can see the device but there is not any software to guide you through what you are looking at. You are just able to connect via your PC and use your MY COMPUTER folder and it will recognize your phone.

I think you don't need a special software if there is an USB cable and USB interface, you just need to connect the mobile phone to the pc by the USB cable.After your mobile phone be recongnized by the pc,you can transfer the pictures to pc.

Or you can download a bluetooth software to your pc,then find the bluetooth in your mobile phone,then you can connect the two bluetooth,and transfer the pictures.
