John Deere 185 hydro w/ 17hp kawasaki ran fine until it ran out of gas .Put in new gas it cranks but wont fire.Changed gas, spark plug, carb, fuel pump, same thing. Fuel pump pumps good, cranks fine

It pays to check and test systematically instead of throwing new parts at a problem - a new spark plug doesn't guarantee a good spark any more than a new carb guarantees fuel is reaching the cylinder...
An engine to start and run needs: -

Compression.
A good cranking speed.
The right amount of fuel being delivered into the cylinder.
A good spark.
Everything happening at the right time.

At least one of those things is absent and we can't help you discover which...

1996 ford ranger will not stay started I put gas in the carb but it only runs for a min. Ran for two day good then just stoped

sounds like fuel pump in tank is not working. Can you hear it hum when you turn key to ON?

It should hum for 5 seconds and build up 40 psi of fuel pressure.

Runs for five seconds after being tilted up and put back down.

Trash in the tank fuel line outlet. When you tilt it the trash moves and lets some gas in. Set it down and the trash goes back in the hole and shuts off the gas. No pressure to feed fuel so when you pull choke makes it run rich and then starves for gas again. Dump gas, disconnect the line at the carb. Put a clean tube (drinking straw, plastic tube, whatever will fit so you don't get gas in your mouth) in the gas line and blow air into the tank through the filter clearing the obstruction. Reconnect line then see if it runs longer before it shut off. If it does clean the tank and flush the dirt out.
If that doesn't change anything then it has to be a carb diaphragm leaking and it need a rebuild kit and fuel system flush.

93 gmc sierra 5.7 liter engine, injection carb, will turn over won't start, replaced fuel pump fuse, replaced fuel pump relay, replaced fuel pump inside gas tank, no gas flow to carb , gas gauge has always...

you say you replaced the fuse, but does the fuse have power? the gray wire at pump should have power when cranking, or for 2 seconds when turning key on. At fuel pump relay, put power onto gray wire, the pump should run if the wiring is good. if it doenst run then ck for power at fuse while power is on gray wire.
