go to driverguide.com and find the manufacturer of your webcam, download the driver for your operating system. I f cannot find it go to the manufacturers website and download the updated driver.
When you installed the drivers, did you do so after loggin in as ADMINISTRATOR?? This is vital otherwise it will not work. Also a quote from the manual goes like this quote -"Exit the “Found New Hardware Wizard” by hitting the cancel button. Unplug the VGA webcam from the USB. Insert the software CD into the drive tray. Follow the software installation instructions. Once all software is installed (direct X, HP Web Cam drivers, ArcSoft VideoImpression, ArcSoft Photo Impression), close the HP Webcam window and RESTART the PC. After restarting the PC, plug in the VGA Webcam and run ArcSoft Video Impression to capture a new video." unquote. Hope this helps..................sodeep
Here is the link to the software for your web cam. All you have to do is click on which operating system you are using, then click save the file and save it to your desktop so you know where it is. Then just run the software before you plug in the web cam. During the install it will tell you when the program wants you to plug in the camera.
