you need to reset the sirius alpine adapter, just remuve the positive (red) from battery terminal under the hood for 2 mins, or find the yellow power wire from the adaptor and disconec for 1 min.

It is really a preference. Try increasing, then decreasing each on the type of music you listen to and experiment untill it sounds good to you. It will also depend on the abilities of your speakers.

Hello maslynab,

The Alpine CDA-9886 is Bluetooth ready but requires an adapter such as Alpine's KCE-400BT or a generic adapter in order to pair with a phone.

My alpine works but it puts out no sound

Hold down the (F) button for several seconds. Release button and select (General) by turning volume knob and press (enter). Now select (Power IC) by turning volume knob and press (enter). Now turn knob and select (on) then press (enter). Hold (escape) button for several seconds.
