Since you have posted this i believe you have access to internet somehow. All you have to do is ether possess usb tumb drive or a cd burner and an empty cd. go to this website and download all the drivers that your computer is asking for. link is windows xp operating system.
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&ServiceTag=&SystemID=PLX_PNT_CEL_GX270&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=
If this is confusing towards the top of this page when the link opens just choose change product and click on enter service tag and enter yours that can be found some where on you tower. this will cut down some of the drivers but pretty much same stuff. This is all you need to get your computer up to par. Hope this helps.

Iwanted to reformat my dell optiplex GX270 deskstop. What drivers needed?

Hello,

Download the drivers in the link below, either burn them to a CD/DVD as a Data CD/DVD or put them on a memory stick, sometimes the drivers are compressed so don't forget to download winzip also and put that onto either a CD/DVD or a memory stick.

Basically when you have reformatted your computer put the disc or memory stick into your computer, double click the CD/DVD or memory stick and install the drivers, if there compressed uncompress them with winzip.

However make sure you install the BIOS then the chipset drivers first then install the rest hope this helps.

Sound card

Your laptop should have a sound card built into the board. To make sure, check for three round color coded holes anywhere along the edge of your laptop frame and ports. The Sound output is usually green. The sound in is blue and the mic in is red. If you plug in speakers n the green and don't here music, then check to see your SOUND DRIVERS are installed. If they are not no sound will play. The check for Sound drivers, right-click My Computer, then chose HARDWARE and let it list the components. Any one with a yellow mark needs drivers.
