I got a Sony CDP-CX300 from a client of mine, and was wondering if I can do something to reset the whole machine to factory settings instead of having to clear each artists' name out of the cd text. Any help would be grately appreciated. Rob

The rubber drive belt for the c/d load mech is streched or broken,
replace the belts there is another that drives something else so change them both while you have it open

I'm having the same issue. Can you tell me where I can find the part you are talking about?

u must remove the broken old door carefully by removing the rubber belt which is connected to the dc motor and bear by there be a white colour plastic which holds the door u must remove that and then u must put replacement & once again u must connect those all properly so it s difficult... just visit technician....

Get a service manual or pro to get this taken care of. It's a timing issue..accordianman
