By the way, here is the link to the users manual too

I already had the SP1 installed, however i reinstalled it as well as SP2 and no change. I get the safety icon in my lower right window as well as the removable disk icon at the MY COMPUTER window flash for about 3 seconds then disappear. any other suggestions? I have also called there 877 support line only to get an answering machine as well as emailed their support center with no reply (day 3).

  • charles urban Apr 07, 2011

The other thing I can suggest is to delete the device from your PC, restart and then plug it in and see if if will reinstall itself. I'm sorry that I cant help more. Southern Telecom is apparently a messed up company. Its too bad that Polaroid wont back these up.

You may need a powered hub. (all the USB ports on your computer are not powered either, often only 2)

My panasonic model DMC-TZ3, when plugged into computer, the program will not open to download? And I lost the Install Disk.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I bought a vidao mp3 player & can't download

After Windoze notifies that the device is ready for use, in "My Computer" you should see 2 drive letters. The first is for the internal memory of the device; the second for the MicroSD card. To add MP3s to the internal memory you can use several methods: (1) Right click on the file to be transferred and select "SEND TO a" where "a" is the drive letter from above. (2) Open "My Computer" 2 times; focus one on the source folder, the second on the destination folder then do the drag and drop routine, or (3) use Windoze Explorer to do drag and drop. There is nothing automatic about the transfer process. Note that if you use the right click method, a message may appear that the target folder cannot accept the file. Funny thing it already has before sending the message!

I need to download music and there is no file for

Hello,

Using XP, the player should be detected through the USB port of the computer as a removable disk [also called MSC device].
note:
Before disconnecting the player, always go through the icon "Safely remove hardware" in the right corner below of the computer screen, to keep the player free from data loss or data faillure.

----------
First prepare the player before connection / check normal working of the player:
0. Player NOT connected to the computer
1. Switch the player ON using the >| button
2. Check the HOLD icon in the display: padlock should be OFF
3. When the padlock shows up, unlock the player: slide the HOLD switch to the left: padlock should not show in the display now.
4. Switch the player OFF, holding the >| for about 3 seconds.

When the player should not behave normal, perform a RESET.
0. Disconnect the player if connected to a computer.
1. Remove the battery from the player and leave it out for 10 seconds.
2. Replace the battery.
3. Power ON the player with the >| button and see if the player works normally.
4. Switch OFF the player, holding the >| button for 3 seconds.
----------

How to check the detection of the MSC device on your computer:
0. Player Normal Functioning, NOT connected, NOT locked and switched OFF.
1. Explore 'My Computer': click start in the left corner below of the computer screen and select 'My Computer'.
2. Connect the MP300 to a USB port; detection may take some time.
3. Look on the computer screen if a new removable disk shows up in the explorer overview, coming up with a new drive letter.
4. Now you should be able to put music onto the player, showing up as a removable disk with the new drive letter: use 'copy and paste' or 'drag and drop' method for music transfers.
note:
Before disconnecting the player, always go through the icon "Safely remove hardware" in the right corner below of the computer screen, to keep the player free from data loss or data faillure.

When no new drive letter shows up, try another USB port.
Connect directly to the computer, not through a hub.
If you need more help, tell me at what point connecting or transferring fails in this thread.

There's also a software program called Coby Media Manager that can be used for detection or transfers. Coby Media Manager is based on MTP connection mode.

Lacie 1tb ext hd. drive does not show in disk

Your external drive has 2 parts, the hard drive, which is just a normal hard drive you would find in any computer, and the usb bridge, which connects the hard drive interface (either ide or usb) to the usb or firewire or esata or whatever. Sounds like one of these are bad. Does the computer see the bridge? it should show up as a mass storage device in device manager and the safely remove usb devices dialog. If not, then get a new enclosure for the drive. These range from 25-100 dollars. If the bridge does show up, take apart the enclosure and pull the drive out and try hooking it up as a second drive in your computer. If it works there, then you need a new enclosure. If not, then you need a new drive.

Menory card

How to connect your memory card with PC. Here's what u do:
1.In your mobile, go to Menu, then Settings, then Phone settings.
2.Scroll down to Pc connections.
3.Select "Mass storage" option.

Next time you connect your mobile to the PC via the USB, open Samsung Studio. Samsung Studio will automatically detect your memory card and then you can start transferring files.

Another simpler method is when you connect the mobile via the USB, go to My Computer. Click on Removable Disk. Then it's just a matter of dragging and dropping files from there on.

Note: When connecting your mobile, make sure it is in Idle Mode (i mean in the main screen mode)

Hope this helps.
