Bryant programmable thermostat doesnt keep the temp have to put it on fan instead of auto

My guess is that you have gas heat. If this is the case, sounds to me like your main control board or depending on age of furnace, fan controller is not working. With gas furnaces, it utilizes 2 fan speeds. High for cooling, & Low for heating. Your thermostat only controls the High speed - switches when you turn your fan on & when there is a call for cooling. The only other thing I can think of is it is possible that the Low speed windings on the blower motor are open causing it to not turn on. Most motors have 3 to 4 speeds & only 2 are used. Switch the heat motor wires in the furnace (on the control board) with one that is on a spare terminal.

I've a Bryant AC/Heat system. Model 661CJ030-A. It run cool okay but the fan kept to running even get to the point that has been set.The system seemed not auto stop. Any ideas,

Hi if the indoor fan continues to run after the unit is done cooling, you either have a fan relay located in the indoor unit that is bad or stuck, or a problem in the thermostat with the fan contacts not opening when its satisfied. Pull the cover from the thermostat to expose the wiring. Find the G/Green wire. This is the fan wire. Take a small screw driver and carefully loosen screw and take this wire off. Give it a couple of minutes to see if it shuts off. If it does shut off, the thermostat is faulty and you will need a new one. If it still runs, you will have to check the indoor unit and find the fan relay. If this system is gas fired for heat, it will have a combination fan/High limit control that is the problem, more then likely stuck. Look at the wiring diagram on the panel and it will show you the fan control. You can try tapping on it to see if you can un- stick it. If not, it will need to be replaced. If its just a fan relay, it will be black about the size of a wooded match box with around 5 wire terminals on it. If you have someone turn the stat on and you should be able to hear it click. Do the checks with the stat and let me no the out come and we can go from there.

Replaced Bryant T-stat model TSTATBBNB001 with Honeywell t-stat

Your original wiring configuration seems to indicate that you have an air conditioner (not heat pump) and either a gas or electric furnace. If this is the case you may need a different thermostat for your application.

Bryant-Carrier Furnace Fan Stays On

I suspect a bad fan relay or bad fan control. Maybe the longer the control or relay is in the on position the more chance of it sticking on.
