No, there are free PDF solutions available. One that I personally recommend and believe to be MUCH better than Adobe is Nitro PDF Reader. It's free here: http://www.nitroreader.com/download/

The dongle is only available with the software when you buy it. The dongle alone doesn't run the reader/writer box. The dongle is the code key for the software that allows you to send designs to the reader/writer. So purchasing new software (which also gets you the new dongle) is what you'll need to do if you want to send designs to the programmable card. Another issue you may have is that the older reader /writer box that uses a parallel port hook up, doesn't work with the new software. So if you have an old reader /writer, you'll also need a new usb reader / writer box. The new reader / writer also comes with a new programmable card.

try searching keygen on rapidlibrary or use FOXIT PDF Suite(i'm personally using it. it works like acrobat). This suite contains pdf reader, writer, creator nd pdf orginzor.Nd most of all its only 6-7 MB in size. Give it a try.

I'm sorry but Product Keys and their replacement is done solely through the product manufacturer.

If you registered with Adobe or only have the receipt, there should be no problem getting a replacement through them

I too have the 3D Studio, which I purchased from an estate sale. Fortunately, I had the serial number, however I don't have the rest of the registration info to change registration for the program updates. It will not let me install any updates. However, it works just fine without them.

I've heard others with the same problem, and there is no way to bypass their protection codes. Their program also comes with a "dongle", which is a product licensing key, that plugs into your USB port. The program will not run without it. Another item that they will not replace if lost.

I had thought about purchasing another program, but really only needed the new generic reader-writer to plug in to my computer. (It must be an embroidery reader/writer.)

Husqvarna will, however, be happy to sell you another program at great expense.

Alternatively, I would suggest purchasing a more inexpensive program --Embird for expample, and the Ultimate Box (reader/writer) and Card , which will be much cheaper than what the Husky people will sell you. Also, there is no "key" to plug in to operate their program.

Hopefully, the seller can find the registration for it somewhere, because without it, it's pretty useless as far as I know. Husqvarna is very good at protecting their products.
