There is usually a pin hole on the front next to the door insert a pin and the door should open.if its not on the front you may have to search around a bit,hope this helps

Had the same problem; here's what i did. Take DVD out of Receiver, close door to receiver and hold down stop button on receiver itself for five(5) seconds. changes should take effect and progressive scan screen should revert back to sanyo screen.
