Connect your iPod Touch to iTunePress and Hold the power and home keys for 10 seconds.Screen goes black, now release the power button. Make sure you do not release the Home key until your iTunes says "We have detected an itouch in recovery mode. Now just follow the directions. This will erase/factory restore the iPod.Restore all your songs/apps in your iTunes account. Just remember this will totally wipe the iPod but make it functional again!!

I have an ipod touch that I forgot the password for, I tried to many wrong passwords and now it is "disabled". How can I fix it?

Plug the iPod into your iTunes, and click on it when it shows on the left side. From there you will have do do a "Restore" - there is a button to do it. This will clear out your iPod and load it from scratch.

After that either restore the information from your last backup or do a full sync with your iTunes library, to put your music etc. back on your iPod.

Il forgot my password and cant get on my ipod

Hi,

unfortunately you will have to restore your ipod touch. Just connect it to your computer, and within itunes select the restore option on the ipod page.

The ipod should be able to be restored by the computer that last synced it.

Otherwise, try to restore your ipod via DFU mode. Here is a great step by step guide to do that. http://iphonefreakz.com/beginners-guide/howto-dfu-mode/

I hope this helps,

Nathan.

You need to restore the itouch, if you are unable to restore please read this page http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 do what it says and try restore again.

How to restore your iPod:
For Windows:

  • 1. Make sure you've reinstalled the latest version of iTunes.
  • 2. Open iTunes, and then connect your iPod to your computer.
  • 3. After a few moments, it will appear in the source list in iTunes.
  • 4. Select your iPod in the source list and you will see information about it appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes windows.
  • 5. Click the Restore button. You will be prompted with one or more restore options that may prompt iTunes to automatically download of the latest iPod Software. The 4 possible restore options are:
    • Restore Option 1: Restore - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod.
    • Restore Option 2: Use Same Version - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod even though a newer version is available.

  • 7. During the stage 2 of the restore process, the iPod will show an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remains connected to the computer or iPod Power adapter during this stage. Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see since the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
  • 8. After stage 2 of the restore process is complete and the iPod is connected to the computer, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear asking you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences similar to when you connected your iPod for the first time.
