Hate to say it, but your transmission is on the driver side. Most common places for transmission fluid to leak is the transmission drain pan. Another could be from a seal where you drive axles goes into the transmission. It depends if you have had word done on your vehicle recently. I would suggest you take it in to a shop. You shouldn't drive, if you're are low on transmission fluid.

2000 sable- can't shift out of park. shifter glides and needle on dash moves there's no gears shifting. is the transmission blown?

That is what it sounds like. I would check the transmission fluid level. I f it is full, you probably need a transmission. If it is low or out of fluid, then you need to find the leak, repair it, and cross your fingers and hope there is no permanent damage to the transmission.

I have a 2000 mercury sable dohc 3.0 and the transmission leaks...surprise...anyway it looked like it was coming from the passenger side transaxle seal so i replaced it (after it took out my altenator) but...

Does it leak while driving or setting? If setting then let it set and when it leaks , find the source. Best to have a lift.

Run it on the lift to see where the leak is if driving. Make sure it is not a line or the breather tube on top.

Transmission leaks on my 94 mercury sable on passenger side. liquid squirts out through bumper. is it just a line or do i need to change transmission?

Your car probably has a transmission cooler located parallel or near the engine coolant radiator. These flimsy things eventually fail but if you are lucky, it may be a connecting line only. You'll have to locate the lines and cooler from below.
This needs to be done soon, otherwise you will lose enough to break down once the transmission starts slipping from low pressure and fluid level.

1999 mercury sable 24v engine oil ends up in transmission. where to start

Seal between the Engine and Transmission is leaking. The oil is only getting into the bell housing area. If you are checking your transmission oil and it is black or brown you need a major transmission repair and fluid and filter change.

For 2000 Mercury Sable 3.0L EFI DOHC 6cyl the Flasher is located on front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted in junction block.

Where do you pour the transmission oil in a 2000 mercury sable

the dipstick for the trans on this car is on the drivers side, close to the firewall, around underneath the air intake tube. you fill the fluid with a funnel through the dipstick tube. good luck!

Thank you. where do we add the transmission

If yo can locate the transmission dip stick[drivers side] the fluid goes in through the same hole as the dipstick was in,use a small flexible funnel.
