Some deep fryers have a magnetic quick release on the power cord. First, check to see if the power cord is securely fastened at the wall and at the base of the fryer.
Safety features of deep fryers include auto shut-off when oil overflows or reaches a certain vertical point in the fryer, or if there is too much or not enough oil. Drain the entire fryer and slowly refill it to the maximum fill line.
Some outlets, especially in bathroom and kitchen areas, have GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) circuits which detect overload or short situations and shut off. You can see an example here. Ensure the "reset" button is pressed down. Another cause could be a tripped circuit breaker. Check the circuit breakers to ensure all of them are in the "on" position.

My Breville BDF450 will not turn on (no lights no nothing). Heated oil up prior to cleaning. Cleaned and changed oil now unit will not work at all

Did you pour out the oil when it was still at it's hottest temp? I would guess there is a master overheat sensor that tripped off. It will be a little thermodisc with 2 power wires connected to it. Find and replace that thermostat sensor. You can test it for continutiy with a volt meter.

The reset button on my Breville DF30 will not reset when pressed. So it is not able to heat up.

Hi there.
If the unit is cooled down and the button will not reset, you have to replace the reset button, its mechanical part may have worn out that's why it wont go back to its normal position.
Regards.

My deep fryer won't turn on or heat up.

Look for the safety switch that the heat element is supposed to push in when installed correctly. It may not be in all the way.
