Why can't I sign in to skype

Registering the handset to the base station has nothing to do with your wireless router. The handset and the base act like walkie talkies. The signal from the handset must match the signal in the base station. The handset may have a reset button of its own, or a sequence you must go through to register the handset to the base. Try removing the battery from the handset and see if that will work. If not you need the manual to tell you what to do to register the hand set to the base.

If you do not remember your Id and Password:

• If you have a friend who is also using Skype, asked them to enter your email address in the "find a user" window.
• Also, when your sign in window comes up, your screen name/ID should have been stored in the drop down menu right under the Skype Name window then you could just click the forgot the password link. Unless you have changed your pc recently.
• If none of this works, you'll really have to create a new account then.

I had the same problem with the latest firmware (Version 250). It was working perfectly earlier but this problem arose suddendly. I fixed it after many days by installing an older firmware (Version 245 in my case) and then installing the latest firmware again (Version 250).

You can install the firmware by going to:

Menu > Settings > Advanced > Firmware Update > All Firmware vers. > (select firmware version) > Install

Please make sure that you don't loose power and internet to your base station during the update. Also, your handset should be fully charged.

I had excatly the same problems and therefore I called the Dualphone hotline. A very helpful person send me this code, which I used and after 2 days with many frustrations this solved all problems within 30 minutes:



"Dear Sir, madam,

Thank you for contacting dual phone Support.



"Press menu followed by 1 – 3 – 9 – 7 – 5. You will prompt to one pageFWU configuration and select Beta firmware. Install the 0247 beta firmware."
