Its a nokia phone made in china and i recieve a mms message then i cant view through my phone besides my gprs is activated,what would i do in order to open my mms message recieve?

Here's a quick tip on how to activate your phone's Smart MMS and Smart GPRS settings if you're with the Smart network:
Download MMS and GPRS settings from Smart:
To download SMART MMS phone settings:
Key in SET MMS and send to 211.
To download SMART GPRS phone settings:
Key in SET GPRS and send to 211.
Example: If you have a Nokia 6230, that's "SET MMS N6230"
To activate SMART GPRS:
Key in "GPRS ON" and send to "333′
To activate SMART MMS:
Key in "MMS ON" and send to "333′
Note :
The configuration settings will be sent to your phone. You will need to select "Save All" to save the settings in the phone. Some MMS and GPRS handsets already have pre-loaded phone settings.
Activation of MMS and GPRS will require a confirmation message from SMART. A message will be sent to the sub once the feature has been activated

You are right, it'll not open up. The message indicates that your phone hasn't activated Gprs. Contact vodafone and get your phone's gprs activated and access the service. There's no other option to view the message except through gprs (only your mobile number's gprs).

If you know how to activate the gprs, you can do it but if you are not sure, it's best and easiest to call the vodafone customer care.

you need to activate your ms settings to be able to recieve and send pictures..

call your network service provider and ask for gprs and mms settings for your phone..

Select Sun WAP, Press Activate Profile and Save
Go to Menu -> Messages -> MMS -> Message Settings -> Server Profile
Select Sun MMS, Select Activate Profile and Save
For corporate accounts, fax a letter of request and ID of the authorized signatory to 395-0138. Approval and activation maybe slightly delayed.
Text “ACTIVATE” and send to 2300
If unable to activate,please call Sun Customer Hotline (200 on your mobile phone).
* If surfing or MMS sending does not work or results in an error, please proceed to the next step for manual setting.

Manual Activation of GPRS
Go to Menu -> Services -> Data Account -> GPRS
Select Sun GPRS
Account Name: “Sun GPRS”
APN: “wap”
Select SUN MMS
Account Name: “Sun MMS”
APN: “mms”
Exit and save settings

i) in the case of branded mobile(such as nokia, samsung, lg, .....), u can get internet setting to ur mobile by sending a message from ur mobile, but this is not the caseof china mobile

ii) in case of china mobile u have to take mobile to ur nearest service provider center(fore eg: vodafone mobile store in case of vodafone service provider) and he will make some settings in ur mobile(internet settings, mms settings) and activate the internet manually(otherwise insist him activate internet there itself)..

let me give u an example, if you have an nokia, by sending a message to your service provider(vodafone..,.) you will get gprs setting and you can use internet from then but,


in case of china mobile it is not the case, you cant send any msg from ur mobile(as u do in case of branded mobiles) so, you have to got nearest centre of service provider(vodafone mobile store, if vodafone) and they will make some settings in your phone , immedately they will activate gprs on your phone(otherwise ask them to activate gprs then and there itself)

then you will be able to surf internet on your mobile .........

ur wrong in my n95 china mms and gprs are working properly i know its not the original one but its quite ok for me. you can even connect it to your dvd player with usb and play all the multimedia you can put on its external flash memory you can upgrade up to 8gb mem.

i bought china mobile N 95. i m not able to activate gprs services can any one help with settings or advise thanks
