Puppy on a MultiBoot USB Flash (Grub4DOS)

Puppy is a linux distribution and weighs less than 130MB.
It is available to install on USB flash,
CD, MP3 player, camera and hard drive.





1.) Download the Puppy ISO image:
http://puppylinux.org/main/Download%20Latest%20Release.htm


2.) Take from the downloaded ISO, file
LUPU_520.SFS to USB Flash

2.a) rename LUPU_520.SFS to lupu_520.sfs

2.b) Take all other content (from the ISO image)
and put in folder /Boot/Puppy/ (Create a folder on a USB flash drive)

(extract the files from the ISO can programs Ultra-ISO or WinRar)

3.) In the main menu.lst add a:

title Puppy 5.2
kernel (hd0,0)/boot/Puppy/vmlinuz ramdisk_=100000
initrd /boot/Puppy/initrd.gz

4.) Puppy on our MultibootUSB flash-is ready for operation.

have 'word' documents on MP3 player, now player wants to be formatted

I have recovery software on an on-line site...files anywhere...If it is not being read correctly, you can download this software by contacting me directly at [email protected] and I can send you a link, or you can down load a linux distribution called "Puppy" and burn this on a live cd, then boot computer from the cd follow prompts use vesa for vid display, single click on drives, "mount" the usb drive and access the flash drive that way. But easier to just download my recovery software and save all data from usb drive to your hard drive.

Linux can be problematic for the novice.
