Answered

Remote won't unlock car. Not sure if it's frozen or battery dead. Drivers door won't unlock with key - it just spins around. there is no passenger lock. There is no key slot on trunk. I thought those German engineers were bright.

    There is definitely no key slot for the trunk; there is a permanently attached recessed VW emblem and it doesn't move. We had the drivers door slim jim'ed to open it

There should be a key slot in the trunk emblem, or the emblem will spin to reveal it. If the key just spins it needs a new door lock cylinder. You can see my previous solutions for how to remove it.

    Sorry about that, They must have deleted the truck lock cylinder in 2004.
    You will still need to deactivate the alarm via a door lock. You should also try a new battery in the remote. Any auto parts store should be able to replace it for you, you just pry the 2 halves of the key apart, then split the remote portion in half.

Might have dead battery. Most cars have emergency unlock procedure whereby you turn key (sometimes only in passenger door) as far as normal, then try to lift door handle and turn key further for manual unlock.

How to break into 2003 gmc envoy,without hurting it? Key won't work,remote won't work,battery is dead.
You can usually go to the passenger door and use your key to unlock it, then reach through and open drivers door. After that pull the hood release and change your battery. If it still won't open with a key on passenger door then you will have to call a locksmith who will bring a special tool to open.

How do I open the fuel filler door on a 2004 Porsche Boxster S when the battery in the key fob is dead?
Open the passenger side door, there is a small round pull cable directly behind the fuel filler door. Pull it GENTLY, about a quarter of an inch- it will unlock the fuel door. Pull it too hard and it will break.

All my remotes won't unlock passenger doors, why?
this is a problem that can appear after your car battery died, cause the car didn't reset propely, so taking the battery out and putting it back in or letting your car die again would do the trick. I tried a lot of reprogramming procedured for my remote key, none of them worked, what did the trick though was simply unlocking the doors via the all door unlock button on the passenger side door, so simple.

Keyless remote will not unlock doors. Door was unlocked with key. Car will not start and the key will not release from ignition switch. Is this the anti-theft and haw do I reset it?
Check the car battery there is a battery in the remote as well but its to new to need to be replaced and so is the battery in the car It sounds most likely like there is a bad connection on one of the battery terminals on the cars battery if the bat is dead in the car the remote won;t work and if the bat is dead in the remote it won;t work but the car will hope this helps

Central locking
turn key twice when opening, ie turn right. once drivers door will unlock, turn twice passengers doors will unlock, and locking is turn anti clock wise once will lock all doors, turn twice will set door dead locks.dead locks will stop openand lock internal button working and handle from opening door. the same actions can be applied to the remote one press drivers door, two press passenger doors, press and hold unlock button for 5 seconds and rear window will open.

I have a 02 silverodo battery went dead i charged battery reinstalled it it starts but dies and with the key out of the ignition security light stays on
you need to disarm the alarm. unplugging batt. or dead battery being jumped sets of the alarm not all alarms make noise
use remote to lockand then unlock doors need to be closed
or lock then unlock door with key if it dont reset then try passenger door
