I have a 47 in Vizio that the backlight is very dim and flickers like a fluorescent light. There also is a buzzing noise in the back panel. The Tv is out of warranty. I want to know what needs replaced? Thank You

You probably have some defective capacitors on the power supply or inverter circuit boards. Hopefully they will be swollen and easy to find. Otherwise, it take a tech to figure out which is bad.

Vizio SV47XVT 47inch Screen flickers and makes popping sound through speakers what do I need to replace.

This is a power supply and/or possibly inverter(s) board bad capacitors. Since the audio is affected it could be both. Be aware that attempting to repair it yourself could cause irreparable damage to your TV.

Vizio VO47L FHDTV10A black screen no light

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
?
?Check the cables, connectors and connections.
?
Take it to a repair shop.

Vizio gv47l

The problem is with your IP (inverter / power) board. This is a pretty common issue, actually... one I see almost daily. The power board for your TV is part number 0500-0507-0260, but they're not available anymore... the sub part is 0500-0507-0260R.

Why does my Vizio E470VLE LCD TV have no picture but it does have sound?

you may have a backlight problem. To verify this, dim the lights in the room. Turn on the set and shine a bright flashlight on the screen. If you see a faint picture, you have a backlight fault.

I've owned a Vizio VT420M for just over 13 months. About a week ago the tv started flickering when I turn it on. The picture is visable, but the area around the actors is flickering. After about 7 to 10...

The flickering is most likely due to a faulty fluorescent backlight. Once the bulb heats up the flickering usually goes away. Some bulbs are easier to replace than others so I would contact your local TV repair shop.
