if u have tally software which is ur instaled in your computer.
again install the previous operating system in other drive like "D" & "E". then recover the drive "C" by using "recuva recovery software". then find the your tally files and save it in another place like "DVD" disk.
then install your tally software and use it . all the best my frnd.
first view the location of ur tally program then take the backup of the data file it in a folder in the tally folder then reinstall the tally program it will solve the error an ur tally will work fine
You can make a system restore point while installing Tally. But before restoring the same point you should remember that you data can be lost in this process so take an external backup of your data on CD etc.
You can go in back dates by changing system date and see if Tally is working or not (Some times it works !!).
You can insure that your system name, lan cards etc. Doesn't change.
If you know that a trouble is coming ahead e.g. you may need to upgrade system or format the system then best solutions is that you first surrender the tally before formatting.
If you are in deep trouble an and cannot connect internet the surrender the tally in offline mode and keep that file in a pen drive or CD along with your data backup.
If you are in much deeper trouble and finds out in the morning that you computer doesn't start windows and last option is to format it again, then try to start windows in DOS mode and recover that data files by copying whole Tally folder in to another drive. Then you can write mail to [email protected] stating your Sr..No and contact person name to reset your licensing info. Wait for the response and then activate the Tally.
Open Tally, press Alt+F3-Company Info, you will see Back Up link. Select & enter required fields (drives) where you would like to take back up
Go to company information- click backup - you can take backup on floppy or on hard disk with proper path. i.e make the backup (or any name) folder on suitable drive. But do not choose C: drive as you may forget when you are formatting the drive. Then you can copy the same folder on CD to open any where.
A safe solution would be to go to your Control Panel, from the Start Menu. From there, go to "Add/Remove Programs", and find your software application. See if there is a "repair" option next to it, and if so, run that.
Unless you have the original discs and product key for this software, please don't uninstall it - it will be difficult to get it back.
If this does not help, or you don't see a "repair" option, please post back with more information.
you select the trial balace--and press Alt+E or click export---then the export details screen came,
Language: Default(all language)
Format: Excel (spreadsheet)
Output file name: trial bal.xls (any name you select)
Excel (spreadsheet) formating: yes
other details you select and accept the screen. then minimise or close the Tally, you open the tally file name at my computer. at the time you can see the file trialbal.
Solutions to these problems needs common sense rather than tallyexpertise. Lets understand some feature and working of tally. Tallyprovides a backup and restore utility which collects all files of tallycompany into one file named tbk500.001. This way of tally backup iseasier to restore as this one file can be kept save and easily can berestored instead of all files in that folder. If any of the file getsmissing or gets corrupted tally data wouldn't work. when data gets corrupted while working on tally and we are unable toopen the company then data can simply rewritten. Come to Companyselection menu. Press "Ctrl + Alt + R". Now select the company for re writing. 90% chance is that you problem would be get solved.
just paste ur data in the tally data folder form the place u had copied before formatting. make sure that u had installed tally in C: and tally data folder is in c:\tally\data
