When trying to open Corel X5 with or without a new document the following message appears "a required resource was unavailable". I can start a new document again but I have not acces to fonts, I have over 1000 fonts on my system and I can't use them, in Photoshop they are still functional. I have also instaled service pack 2 for X5 and my operating system is Windows 7 x64.

I presume you mean CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 and NOT technical Suite?
If nothing seems to work I would then do as follows.
1.Uninstall CorelDRAW X6 via Control Panel
2.After uninstalling X6 in the Control Panel - Go BACK to the Control Panel and uninstall "Corel Graphics - Windows Shell Extension".
3.Then go to Documents > Corel folder > Uninstall/Delete anything that says CorelDRAW X6
4.You can also go to C: > Program > Corel and delete anythign that says CorelDRAW X6
5.Repeat step 4, but choose folder called Programx86, and delete anything that says CorelDRAW X6
6.You should now have uninstalled everything that useally could disturb when you re-install from scratch.
7.NOW put in your DVD again with CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 - and INSTALL from Scratch.
8.You SHOULD now be able to run your CorelDRAW X6.
9.And NOW you should go online to www.corel.com and download and install Update/service pack and Hotfix for CorelADRAW Graphics Suite X6
10.It should in all normal situations work just fine on your PC with any Windows 7 version as well as any Windows 8 and 8.1 version.
11.Try to use a program to recover and view CDR files. For example, you can try this CDR Open File Tool http://www.cdr.openfiletool.com/

Delete and reinstall your program . If problem persists , try a recovery system to set your pc back to a date whem the program was running smoothly . If still no solution , go on line at Corel's support .

while installing corel suite x5, I get only EN htm. Further it does not work. Please advise me.

i think your software is not compatible on your operating system find that was compatible on mac os...

You may have a corrupted install. Check the control panel to see if Corel Draw installed. You can use the "uninstall software" from the control panel. then once uninstalled, try re-installing. Before doing all this I would reboot your computer.
