Hello, I had a similar problem with a mig welder of my own. There is a temperature sensor on the heat sink. This can be in the form of a temperature switch which when the heat limit is reached, it activates a fan which cools down the heat sink. This is how it operates. Now, my problem was I was welding at a high current and it overheated my welder. I fixed this on my welder by replacing the fan with a higher volume one. The issue here is cooling. If you are welding at a high current, then the welder will overheat as the cooling is designed for average use. I am thinking that your temperature switch is not weak but operating as normal. I would suggest therefore increasing the cooling somehow by getting more air moving over the heat sink. An easy try is to have an external fan blowing over and into the welder case. Overheating is the issue here and if you have to weld at the higher currents or welding continuously for long times, then you have to get the unit cooler inside.

How do I reset a PECO TA-170-001 Thermostat

Try pressing the System button multiple times to change the mode. That is the button on the left below the display. Pressing the button goes through a cycle: off, heat, cool, auto, setback. You can also go into the settings and disable the Setback (energy-saving) mode completely. I found the documentation here: https://www.globalindustrial.com/site/images/PECO/TA170-TB170-installation-instructions.pdf .

I hope this helps.

I have an amcor portable air conditioning unit model number kf9000e, when you first plug it in and turn it on comes on blows air a lot of air, but when compressor kicks on it draws a lot of power and kicks...

Just an idea did you tried running just fans before putting it to cooling? As all air conditioners has options.

Also turn down cooling to minimum and gradually increase it.

It looks like you have turned cooling to maximum and turning on air conditioning so it trips the internal load relay for safety.

My 95 ford f150 runs great till it warms up it seems then the fuel pump looses power n shuts down wait few mins kicks back on runs fine till few min later

Sounds like your ignition module it is common on fords to do this when its cool it will start and run fine but once it heats up the truck dies until you let it cool down again and then your up and running till it heats up again. Some modules are mounted on the fender others are mounted with the distributor have it checked and let me know how it went.

Compressor keeps kicking off 1999 Buick Century AC

Your ac system is most likely low on freon, or the cooling fan is not working.
When you turn on the ac the cooling fan should stay on.
If it stays on then you are low on freon.

Goodman central air conditioner not blowing normally

It sounds like the compressor is not coming on in the outside unit. If it worked fine and was cooling before, then your compressor probably over-heated and tripped the internal overload switch which causes it to stay off while everything else is working. The most common cause of your compressor over heating is an incorrect refrigerant charge, though it could be a few other things like a restriction in the copper line set. You will be able to hear the fan motor and the compressor kick on if you listen close while the system first turns on. If the compressor is over-heated, then after it cools to a save temperature, it will come on again, but only till it over-heats again. I would have the charge checked on the system, but remember that if the compressor is over-heated when the technician gets there, there is nothing he can do until it cools down and time is money! It's best to not run it until the problem gets figured out. Hope this helps and points you in the right direction. Good luck!

"off" light displays and the oven will not heat up

The internal temperature may have been above the minimum setting for the oven temp, hence it locks out till cool down. Once it cools it should be OK. If not, cycle the breaker to the oven to reset.

Engine dies and wont restart for about 5 minutes, and windows wont work for this period of time. what could be wrong?

possibly a fusible link is rotted internally this means when the circut gets hot at the link it goes open and after it cools down ..contact is made again untill it heats up again..a fusible link may power up as many as 5 different circuts or fuses/ circut breakers...these links are like a real rubbery type of wire usually orange or grey in colour they will have a connector about the same size as a cigarette ****, and the wire colour may change from this connector ..the connectors are usually white or black plastic. and they are all attached to a power source such as the back of the alternator or at the starter motor or at a junction block of some sort ..all depends on year ,make, model..ect they most always corrode at the connector underneath the wire insulation...good luck

My AC

One might think so, YES the compressor is running till it gets hot and tripps on hi-temperature, and after it cools down awhile, the switch willcautomatically reset itself and back- & forth......Thank-you-very much!
