if you are sure it is the right code, leave radio on for one hour then re-inter code. if you intered an improper code, after a few tries, it could be locked up.

To set speed dial numbers,with the handset down press the SPDL key(the key should flash)
enter in the 1 digit memory location code (1-9)
enter in the telephone number (up to 32 digits)
then lift and replace the handset. You should hear a confirmation tone and the SPDL key will stop flashing
To use pick up the handset, access a line and press SPDL and the location code (1-9)
Basicly there is not a trick to the S.P. mode. You go in to it & touch The S.P. on the display and then turn the main power switch off and then back on and that is that is needed. But if that did not work you will need to go deeper in to the problem.
