Any spares shop can make a match but otherwise this is for the round or square belts only You can fit a round belt in place of the square type it does not matter. I had some reel to reel machines and in desperation I went to a Hydraulic cylinder and pump spares shop and got an "o" ring of the correct length and thickness Remember that the new belt must be SLIGHTLY shorter to give grip on the pulleys. I have several units cassette and open reel that I was forced to fit this type and some some are running now over ten years everyday
You only need to measure the diameter of each belt you need in MM. Then put the result into Google as "Cassette Drive Belt ??MM."
Belts are generally universal and not made by any one maker. You don't have to be precise in the MM also, a few either way will work. Make a note of how they fit before removing any.
Hi, Flat belt part number is.. 301657001.. BELT (CAPSTAN) and square belt part number is... 302440501.. BELT (FR2) Above said info are taken from TC-WE435 cassette player s/m. Thanks.
Well I can't find this model exactly but other sony dual decks seem to use a belt that is 8.2 inches in circumference. See page 88 of http://russellind.com/client/download/PRB_Belt_XRef.pdf you will have to match the width as close as what you have left. or try to call Sony service
I have just spent half a day trying to replace the drive belts in my sony twin deck unit , in the end it still didnt work as the the old rubber belt did some damage to the unit , anyway shops like **** smith or tandy stock the drive belts , take the front of the unit away from the main case there will be a plastic casing that surrounds the belts there are at least two belts, there should only be two small screws undo these and move the plastic unit forward on the plastic mounting brackets then you will see the metal wheel and the plastic wheel that you fit the belt around , its a bit fiddly but i can do it in my sleep now even though the motor died it was a good experience
