Hello, I hope you can help me. Myself and my wife have brand new ericsson k800i phones. They were on vodafone, but we have had them unlocked. The problem is the extremely poor quality of the video camera. The photo quality is excellent but as soon as we switch to video recording the pixels are very visible making the video quality very poor. Can you help? Regards Lee

You have to install the branded firmware.
Search for it.
Also,this is not called unlocking or debranding.
You are branding your phone with a new firmware.
If you want to debrand or unlock your phone you have to install generic firmware on it.

there are two ways to unlock the phone, iether call up your network provider, and ask them to unlock the phone.

or take the phone to a phone unlocker, usualy find them in markets. should cost arround 10 to 15 pounds

you need to call vodafone and ask for a PAC code to transfer number to new network, they will give you a code right away and you then phone the other network with this code, once they get this they will transfer number in about 48 hours

As far as i know,, vodaphone fones are not good, i bought myself from vodafone and faced many many problems in the fone and they wash out the orignal software of the fone and install their own software in the fone,, so i personaly recomend not to buy fones from vodafone.

Ask Vodaphone ES if "intercariier MMS" works. Some cariers today still do not allow MMS messaging to leave their network (in order to message someone on another network).

If Vodaphone claims that sending an MMS to an Orange customer is possible, go to the nearest store and ask for a demo... I have seen reps say "it works", when it does not.... when that is the case, the carrier (Vodaphone in this case) does not like to advertise their limitation.
