I'm assuming you have a memory card inserted into your camera? You can use SD or SDHC cards up to 32GB in size. Then, if you look in your camera's manual (direct link if you don't have yours... http://resources.kodak.com/support/pdf/en/manuals/urg01118/Z981_xUG_GLB_en.pdf ) you can see on page 36 how to copy an image from your internal memory onto a memory card. Also, on page 45 you can learn how to use the menu to tell the camera to use the memory card instead of the internal memory. Good luck!
put the camera in playback mode so you can view the pictures. As you view each picture push the menu button and choose delete. Delete each pic this way and your internal memory will be clean
You still need to get rid of the pics on the internal memory. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, insert your card and it should work properly.
If you used the internal memory even once, the memory card will not work until you get rid of whatever is in the internal memory. Do this...with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, your card should work properly.
The internal memory, as opposed to any memory card you may have inserted, is quite small. The fix is to use a good sized memory card, or maybe a couple when you are on holiday, so you can fill one and then put in a new empty one, like people used to change films.
The camera is actually saying that the internal memory of the camera (which is very small) is full, not your card. Here's what to do....with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"(may be called "initialize") and follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Once that's done, your card should work properly.
Apparently, you used the internal memory before putting in the memory card. Now the camera only wants to use the internal memory. Here's the fix...with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, insert the memory card. If this is a new card, you will need to format it in the camera, too. If there are any pics on it, download them first using a card reader if necessary, because the card will be completely erased.
