Do you mean 8GB SD card? There are no 8GB SD cards. Any card that size is an SDHC (High Capacity) card.

SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

Ext sd card

Turn off the device and remove the ext sd card.
Turn the device back on and go to the settings and do a factory reset.
Turn off the device again, re-insert your card, and then check to see if your other media is playable.
Are you sure that all of the songs on the SD card are in mp3 format?

I cant record video why?

The Nikon should have a Movie mode, select this mode to record a video.
The problem maybe a slow SD memory card.
Use a SD memory card that has a Class 8 or 10 speed.

I need to down load the driver for it

Digital Cameras no require a software or driver to connecting with the PC/Laptop... just will need to plug it to the computer, turn on your device.

In case that this dont work, I suggest take off the SD Card from your camera and trying with a external device or "SD Card reader" connecting to the PC.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

Most SD memory cards have a small slide switch on the edge off the card. This switch is used to write ptotect the data on the SD card - you can lock or unlock the SD card be sliding this switch.

Unprotect memory card

Hi,

To set the memory card in unprotected mode, you have to do the following.

On the side of the SD chip, there is a little switch. Shift the switch away from "lock", then insert the card back into the camera.
This unprotects the card. You should now be able to take pictures and videos.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If this does not solve the problem, then it is very likely that the SD card is faulty. I would recommend using Panasonic, Lexar or Sandisk memory cards.

~1 Panasonic SD card

Micro sd card in ke850

When the Prada 1 (KE850) was launched, it officially only supported up to 8 GB SD(HC) cards, but there are SD card manufacturers (i.e. Kingston) which claim that their 16 GB cards work in a KE850.

You could contact LG Customercare to confirm this or go with the 8 GB card to be sure ...

Formatting SD card

I had this problem too. Some SD cards won't properly format. My trick was I formatted the card in a different device first (canon Powershot A-630) then put the card in the R-09 and formatted it again. it took about 8 seconds for a 2 gig SD card to format.
