The default password should be on the manual or the manufacturer's web site. If you told me the make and model number I can check that for you. If you have changed it and you don't mind losing all the configuration on it, you can check for a little hole on the back or the bottom of the router labeled reset. Then press a paper clip or a pen into it for like 30 seconds, then release it and reconnect everything then the password should have been restored to the default one.

How do i change my wifi password?

You must know the user id and password of the router. Then, using your internet browser, type the IP address into the browser address line. This should bring up the login page of the router. Use the router userid and password to gain access into the router. Once on the router, look for the wireless setup menu. Go into it and locate the wireless password. The option to change the password should be available there. Save the changed password and exit the router setup.

Hi, Is this a wireless router? To setup wireless router is first you have to connect directly your router to your computer using the a regular ethernet port not the internet port. Open the web browser and type in at the the address bar the IP address 192.168.1.1 and hit enter. User Id and password will appear. depending the brand of router the user ID and the password will be. The common user ID is admin the password it might be password or admin in lower case. Now you can access the router setting you can configure to whatever setting you like. You can change the router password, access point etc. When you done, connect your modem the internet port and that should work. configure your laptop access point. I hope this information will solve your router problem.

Reset Button is at the back of the router beside the internet port

To reset your router, use the following steps:

  2. The settings should now be returned to the factory default settings, meaning any changes you had made would be deleted.
  3. Open up your Web browser and enter “192.168.1.1′ in the address bar.
  4. For the login, leave a blank ID and enter “admin” as the password.
If it still does not work

Try Soft Reset

  1. Open your Web browser and enter the IP address of your router. By default, the address is “192.168.1.1′.

How you find the wireless network key? I have the put ip address in web bar but it asks for username and password which I do not know?

If it is _your_ wireless router, try:
* ID: blank Password: blank
* ID: blank Password: admin
* ID: admin Password: blank
* ID: admin Password: admin

Otherwise, take a Norwegian paper-clip, straighten one end,
and insert it into the small hole in the back of the router,
to reset the router to "factory" settings, including ID/Password.

Password

Hello, If you haven't changed anything from default, in address window type 192.168.1.1 this should be default address for router. It will then prompt for a ID and Password..enter admin for ID and if needed the same for password. This will let you into the router settings and where you can change SSID and Enable Firewall, WEP or WPA..Hope this helps, thanks
