It would be helpful if you gave what the manufacturer and phone model were in your description. However, if you have a regular keyboard, along with a touch screen you can still use the keyboard to do some basic functions. The best way to learn the keys you should use is by reviewing your user manual. If you cannot find the original manual that came with your phone, I suggest going to the manufacturer's website and downloading it to you computer. Most phones have shortcut keys and those are defined in the user manual. Before you start using the keys, make sure your phone is "fresh" by which I mean restarted and ready to go from the home screen.

If you have a warranty with your phone, you can always use that to get a new one. Most cell companies have an average $50 - $125 deductible for insurance and you will get a new phone (sometimes refurbished). You will have needed to purchase the warranty when you originally bought the phone.

On a side note: some companies will not warranty certain phones they sell, but there are 3rd party companies which will.

if its still under the first year it should still be under covered by the manufacturer warranty. Call 611 on your phone and complain, they (Verizon) should off to replace it.

Somehow she's right. Samsung service center can fix your phone. But basic repair fee will be needed to repair your phone. As the manufacturer's warranty dictated, physical damage is not covered by the warranty. The basic repair fee is around $70 plus the LCD screen. I bet it would be much better to buy a new phone.
