Byd:sign 4742M and 4742D-II

I am assuming this is the board you need... I would take the old one out and see if it is the same part # first! Byd 40 4032 782 L40D11 6900 Terminal Board Unit

Look behind the TV there is a switch you might try that might of got hit. I cant remember what its for as my tv did the same thing.

It seems that no one can help with these problems, with byd:sign, as the company has gone broke. There is no info to be found for them....Sorry I couldnt help here.

Error code 2010 is definitely hard drive problem.

Did you get the firmware from the site below?

Here's the fix straight from the maintenance manual:
If in the primary bay the customer is using a non-IBM or non-Lenovo hard disk drive (HDD), or an old generation IBM HDD which is not supported by this system, with the risk in mind, the customer can still use it by pressing ESC. If in the primary drive bay the customer is using a supported IBM/Lenovo HDD with an old firmware, the customer needs to update its firmware to the latest. The latest version is available at http://www.lenovo.com/think/ support

make sure your not trying to run a software and hardware made to work with a 32 bit system on a 64 bit sytem.

I bought 40 byd:sign 23" LCD screens from them about 1 year ago and installed them in a hospital enviorment. The sets are starting to fail. Do you have an address or phone number for them? I would be greatful for any help.

btw for anyone experiencing these problems with the infamous "is-lcdtv32" byd:sign is the same manufacuterer as insignia, its the same company with a different sticker. i know this isnt a solution, but parts for all discontinued insignia';s can be purchased thru byd:sigh(by design). hope this helps .
