Have a 97 Saab 900S. Battery went flat while we were away on holiday. Now everytime we connect the battery the anti-theft alarm goes off. We have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery DOESN'T WORK, we have tried locking and unlocking the car with the remote while battery connected and that DOESN'T WORK. Any suggestions?

If i had to guess i would say its the sensor/switch on the back of the key cylinder, located in the outer door handle.

if you cant get it figured out or have anymore problems with your car, check out the forum at DSMtuners.com .

You should have disconnected the battery and fully charged it before starting the car.
The low voltage may have damaged some of the electronic components in the alarm system.
Charge the battery fully, then reconnect it and see if that helps.

anti-theft system needs to be reset

just reset the alarm system as per the book.

If your battery goes flat or you disconnected the car battery, your car stereo anti-theft security system will be activated: you need to consult your car/radio user manual to remove this lock and will need the correct security code.

my 1995 saab 900s actually has the code written on the casing of the radio once you pull it out

Sounds like the anti theft system needs to be fixed. Contact your local dealer.

You must LOCK Doors Manualy,then UNLOCK DRIVER DOOR WITH KEY this should Correct the Problem.
