Not recognizing the wireless networking card. Drivers already loaded.

Hi,

If your laptop is not recognizing your new wireless card, a simple solution often exists. Diagnosing a specific problem with a wireless card, at first, doesn't seem like an easy thing to do; but there is good news--more than likely, the problem can be fixed in a few simple troubleshooting steps.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); });
    Repair the Network
  1. reasons-not-recognize-wireless-card-1.1-120x120.jpg jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#jsArticleStep1 span.image a:first').attr('href','http://i.ehow.com/images/a05/3o/bb/reasons-not-recognize-wireless-card-1.1-800X800.jpg'); }); Repair ConnectionSometimes, after installing new devices, your wireless networking software within Windows can be thrown off-sync. This can cause your laptop not to recognize your wireless card. To fix this problem, you must repair the network adapter. To do so, restart your computer. Then go to "Start > Control Panel > Network > Internet Connections > My Network Places > View Network Connections". You should now see your wireless networkmag-glass_10x10.gif connection. Right-click on it and select "Repair". Windows will then automatically repair and restart your wireless connection. Need Driver Update
  2. reasons-not-recognize-wireless-card-2.1-120x120.jpg jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#jsArticleStep1 span.image a:first').attr('href','http://i.ehow.com/images/a05/3o/bb/reasons-not-recognize-wireless-card-2.1-800X800.jpg'); }); Driver UpdateThe drivers that came with your wireless card allow it to work with your computer. Often, manufacturers do not include the latest version of drivers with products. Thus, the drivers your received may not be compatible with your current operating system configuration.

To get the latest drivers for your model, visit the manufacturer's website. Most of the time, there will be a "Support" tab located at the top of the website. From there, look for a drivers button that will allow you to download the latest firmware update. If you still cannot find the update, try doing a search for the firmware update using your favorite search enginemag-glass_10x10.gif. Use the wireless card manufacturer, model number, and the word "firmware" as search terms. Wrong Drivers
  3. Aside from needing to update your drivers, you may have received the wrong drivers altogether. If you think this may have happened, uninstall the software that came with your wireless card. To do this, insert the disc that came with your wireless card. Then, you will be given a couple of options. Choose "Uninstall" and follow the wizard. Restarting the computer may be required. After you have done that, go to the manufacturer's website and look for drivers specifically for your product. Search for the exact product number. After you have found the drivers for your card, install them by simply clicking the link supplied to you. This will download the drivers. After that, open the download and navigate through the installation wizard. Faulty Wireless Card
  4. reasons-not-recognize-wireless-card-4.1-120x120.jpg jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#jsArticleStep1 span.image a:first').attr('href','http://i.ehow.com/images/a05/3o/bb/reasons-not-recognize-wireless-card-4.1-800X800.jpg'); }); Damaged GoodsIf you have gotten this far and still have no wireless, you may have gotten a lemon. You have already determined that it is not the software and it's not your computer; so it could be the hardware. The only way to get around receiving a faulty product is to contact the place of purchase as soon as possible. If they are unwilling to do an exchange, go straight to the manufacturer. Most of the time, manufactures offer a longer warranty then distributors. Wireless Card Not Compatible/Installed Incorrectly
  5. reasons-not-recognize-wireless-card-5.1-120x120.jpg jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#jsArticleStep1 span.image a:first').attr('href','http://i.ehow.com/images/a05/3o/bb/reasons-not-recognize-wireless-card-5.1-800X800.jpg'); }); Installation MistakeCheck to see if your wireless card and your computer hardware are not compatible. To analyze this, double-check to make sure that you installed the card properly. If the card has been installed incorrectly, you may notice certain things such as bent pins and improper alignment. Double-check the directions and try to insert the card correctly to fix any errors. If it still does not fit, you probably purchased the wrong card and it is not compatible with your computer
Please post your feedback if the problem resolved as epr your satisfaction.

IS the ZyAir G-100 compatable with netgear routers?

Short answer: Yes it is.

Longer answer: It doesn't really matter which card you use to connect to your router. The problem often lies in the compatibility of your wireless network card and your computer. It depends on the make (is the hardware compatible?) and the Operating System (is the software compatible?)

The Zyxel card is an older model (802.11b - 11Mbps) and therefore lacking the speed newer cards provide (802.11g/n - 54-108 Mbps), but it should at least work.

See that you get the correct and newest driver (you can download version 2.1.30 from here). If you need a manual, you get that here.

If you have any more questions, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

I need wireless compatible for my acer aspire4720z i cannot find? pls. help me?

A wireless what? A wireless network card? Get any USB wireless dongle or PCMCIA card. (providing you have a free slot) They're all made to work on just about every computer and laptop ever made, so I don't think you'll have any compatibility issues.

Beyond Icebox computer

Depends on if you are trying to use a wired or wireless connection. Make sure if you have a wireless card that it is a compatible one. There are only a select few that will function properly on the icebox. If you are using a hard wired connection then make sure you have gone into the connection settings on the icebox to configure the internet and what network to use. When you do this you will be able to connect to your network and surf the web.

I've had my Icebox for 2 1/2 years. Can't log on to internet.

I do not fully understand your problem I think you are trying to connect a wireless connection from a router to computer if that is the case you need to do this with a USB lead to establish your settings and once the connection is established then you can shift the computer
