When I power my desktop PC the CPU fan comes on but nothing shows on the display. No signal goes to the display. No memory bip call. What is the problem of this PC. Is it motherboard or Processor.

If you can, swap out the processor then swap out the power supply, most likely it is the motherboard.

Remove add on pci cards & usb devices and try again.

If nothing has changed I would suspect the power on button has failed. You could order one online to test this theory and replace the defective unit. They don't last forever.

Turns off

I assume you have a desktop computer. It is either the CPU is overheating or the 'Power Supply" is overheating/failing. Put your hand at the top back of your computer where the power supply is to feel if the fan is blowing air out the back. If there is no air coming out the back, then I think the fan has failed and the power supply overheats and fails. Repair or replace the fan before the power supply totally fails and has to be replaced.

Also check the fan and heat sink on the CPU. If they are loaded down with dust, the CPU is not getting cool enough, With power OFF, remove the fan and heat sink, clen them and put them back. That will do wonders to cool the CPU.

My system doesnt start

if no beeps (remove the RAM and for sure has to beep if the motherboard is OK) at all and no video signal you may look to:
1. a new PS - power supply or
2. a new CPU or
3. a new motherboard.

Remove heat sink,make cpu body.

IF I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO SAY I BELIEVE I UNDERSTAND MOST ENOUGH TO SAY YOU HAVE VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM AND NEED TO STOP EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW UNTIL YOU FIX CPU!! YOU HAVE SERIOUS OVERHEATING PROBLEM AND ARE PROBABLY CLOSE TO KILLING YOUR WHOLE SYSTEM!! A PENTIUM 4,3GHZ PROCESSOR PUTS OUT A LOT OF HEAT AND THAT IS WHY THE HEAT SINK MELTED, BUT YOU CAN'T RUN WITHOUT REPLACING IT WITH SOMETHING ELSE BETTER THAN WHAT YOU HAD THAT DIDN'T WORK! THIS IS WHY THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS SHUTTING DOWN. IT IS SAYING, IT IS WAY TO HOT TO RUN AND WE ARE GOING TO SHUT DOWN BEFORE WE BURN UP!!! YOU MUST GET MORE COOLING INTO YOUR CASE AND ONTO THAT PENTIUM PROCESSOR AND GET MORE HEAT OUT OF THE CASE. YOU MAY NEED TO ADD ADDITIONAL FANS OR VENTS, BUT YOU HAVE TO REPAIR THE DAMAGE BEFORE YOU RUN THIS MACHINE OR YOU WILL FRY IT!! THE MOTHERBOARD CAN'T TAKE THE HEAT EITHER! REPLACE THE HEATSINK WITH AN ALUMINUM ONE, NOT THAT PLASTIC ONE FROM DELL, AND MOUNT A FAN ON TOP IF NEED BE. YOU HAVE TO THINK COOOOL!!! YOU HAVE THE POWER, BUT IT ISN'T GOING TO DO YOU ANY GOOD IF IT GOES UP IN SMOKE! I'VE BUILT TO MANY MACHINES TO SEE ONE FRY FOR OVERHEATING. YOU SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST FOUR FANS IN THAT CASE, NO COUNTING THE ONE ONE THE VIDEO CARD OR THE ONE IN THE POWER SUPPLY.
DO IT RIGHT AND SHE WILL LOVE YOU FOR IT AND PURR LIKE A KITTEN! NEED HELP-REPLY TO: ARCLIGHT1217

Pc is not starting up

I'm sorry to tell you but your cpu has probably fried. Your pc hanging a lot probably meant something was overheating and the fact that you say your cpu is not hot when you have the cooling fan off of it means it is probably the cpu. When you first turn your system on without a cpu cooling fan, the cpu should be slightly warm, although I do not recommended running a cpu at all without a cooling fan or even touching it when it has power.
