You will not know until you try it. The new driver may be unable to communicate with the device, or if it can communicate some new features will not be available.

I want driver of umax astra 5800 FOR WINDOS 7

Try downloading again; it may just have gotten corrupted. I didn't find any drivers for the Astra 5800 on Umax's US site, but I did find the W7 64-bit drivers on their India site (umaxindia.in). It extacted fine when I tried it. You might try downloading from there, too. Maybe the version you downloaded before is corrupt on the server.

Sorry but the news aren't good. Indeed for your scanner (I suppose that the correct model is Astra 6700 and not Astra 5600) there isn't any driver available for Windows7. You have these options:
Work with WinXP up to release date of drivers for that scanner by Umax (an e-mail complaining about that is a good idea)
Use another windows7 compatible scanner
