It depends on when the shake occurs and where it's felt. If you feel the shake in the steering wheel and it occurs at high way speeds and you're off the brakes, the tires are likely out of balance, or the wheel slightly bent. If it shakes when your on the brakes from highway speeds the rotors are most likely "warped" and would need to be machined or replaced. If you feel a shake in the car at low speeds the tire is likely out of round or the rim is bent badly.

I have a 2003 Lincoln LS and about two months ago it started shaking when i step on the gas and it slowly got more dramatic! now its completly lost power and its very loud and doesnt go past 10Mph and the...

First you stop driving a vehicle with those issues.

The shaking could be several things. The EGR Valve,if some slamming and banging, type symptoms, especially going up hills.

Loss of power could be the TPS Sensor and a bad COP Ignition Coil.

Very loud --What?

High RPM ,as you already know ,could be the trans slipping. Another in a long list of LS issues. That would be a bad Trans Solenoid Pack.

I have a 2004 LS and had all of them, happen.

You need to pull codes, before you start to troubleshoot thoses items.
I would imagine your driving around with the MIL Light ,light on the dash?

Get codes, give them to me, I'll help you out. Do not drive it, untill it is properly repaired. The LS is a very, very complicated high tech vehicle.

98 lincoln navigator loud noise, shaking, high rpm at idle, drive

I don't know how much oil you had to put in but it sounds like you have maybe more than opne issue and both sound major. One is engine reving and speed not picking up sounds like trans problem. Two the engine shaking and making noise and being run low on oil leans toward possible engine damage. If your mechanicly inclined check all fluids and when checking trans fluid smell it. If it smells burnt the trans has been damaged. Check oil pressure and make sure coolant is full. You may have to take it into the shop.

2002 lincoln ls idling shaking when put in drive.

Hey i just had this same sounding symptoms with my 2000 ls. It turns out that the ignition coils were failing (2,6,8). Just replace all of them. All of them i got on eBay for 150 bucks when the garage quoted me 1100 bucks. Good luck man.
