Is there any way to get a radio code without going to the dealership?

Get the dealership to enter the code they gave you! Or pay to get the correct code.....what make, model radio?

No code available unless you present vehicle ownership documents at the dealership of your choice.

Dealership is told by Mercedes they could loose dealership if giving out codes without following procedure....and believe me...Mercedes checks from time to time.

The vehicle when new came with a Radio Code card, looked like a credit card, that lots of folk leave in the handbook.

Call the Dealership it sound like theft protection they will know the code

The dealership should have a radio code and should give it to you over the phone. If they dont, call another dealership.

Try calling the selling dealership. Any dealership is supposed to be able to help you (and you don't have to go there), but most won't waste their time if you aren't "their" customer.

I just replied to someone having the same problem with a Honda and saw one of the sponsors pop up in the Ads by Google box to the right that may help. I think with Hondas you have to go to the dealership where the car/radio was originally purchased and give them some numbers from the radio. The sponsor may charge to get the number for you but it may be worth a few bucks if that is the only solution. I didn't catch the web address or name - sorry.

pull the radio out and write down the serial number off the back call the dealer and ask them for the code with the serial number good luck and please rate -jeff
