Probably a stolen Garmin GPS. When I was living in Indianapolis last year, they were breaking into cars all thru my neighborhood just to steal GPSs. Cost me $225 to have my driver's side window replaced. Cost me $180 to replace the Garmin and my iPod. Should've left the car unlocked and let them have it. Would've been cheaper.
No, I can't help you bud. Don't know how to clear that password. Maybe you can send it back to Garmin and they can do it.

Got a used garmin nuvi for christmas from flea market no papers but it want pinn # how can i unlock it

Unfortunately, you cannot unlock it. It can only be unlocked by the original owner with either a PIN or taking it back to their 'security location' which they set. Otherwise, you have to send it to Garmin with the original receipt from an authorized Garmin dealer and they will unlock it for a fee. If you/gift giver got this from a flea-market, it looks like you are out of luck in unlocking it.

GPS60 screen fades out cannot see. Contrast setting and changing batteries has no effect.

The solution to your problem is to avoid Garmin. Sorry, but that\'s the truth. My GPS 60 has the same problem. My rocker switch does not change the contrast setting. Nothing helps. This GPS is garbage - I can\'t even read it in low-level room light, let alone outdoors. I already bought a Nuvi car GPS by Garmin and nobody will steal it even though I leave my door unlocked! That tells you something about Garmin. My Dad bought me this hand-held (probably got it at a flea market), so now I have two pieces of garbage. I have owned GPS\'s by other companies, and Garmin sucks. Problem is, people with NO clue about GPS functionality and user-friendliness "like" Garmin because it is one of the few if only GPS products they\'ve ever tried. I even once heard some old folks in a diner telling their friends how terribly their GPS worked. It gave them poor route selection, poor interactive menus, and the maps were wrong. Then, after all that, they say they highly recommend their suckticular* product because a GPS can be so helpful at times. Never mind that other people make GPS units and they could be better, this couple recommends the one they just lambasted. At the end of the conversation, the friends asked who made it. The couple said, "Garmin" That is the level of stupidity of the consumer. A product can ****, but the consumer will recommend it just so they can sound knowledgeable or useful.

I bought a garmin nuvi 350 at a flea

Take it back and get your money back, as it is probably stolen. The PIN cannot be broken as it is set by the original user and cannot be reset by a third party. Even Garmin will not reset it without the original receipt from a Garmin dealer.

Nuvi 260 question

Yes it does.
You would have to pay for the Map
Yes, it can give directions in Spanish
You'll have to download that language (free) from Garmin.
But before you do anything you must download the free Garmin UPDATER
Do that here:
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} To download the latest unit software visit Garmin website: www.garmin.com/webupdater
After installing WebUpdater once from the Garmin website, perform all future software updates from your computer. Simply connect your compatible Garmin device to your computer, then run WebUpdater from your computer's "Start Menu" by selecting "Start", "Programs", "Garmin", and finally "WebUpdater"
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 REMEMBER: It takes hours to do a complete a map update.
Unless you bought the Lifetime maps you may have to pay for current maps.

Does this help? Let us know. Thanks.

I bought a garmin at a flea market and i did not get the unlock code and i went back and did not see the man again. i need a universal unlock code

There is no such thing as a Universal unlock code. Please see my article that I wrote on this topic. There is a chance the item you purchased was stolen.

Pin number

The only way to get it going is to send it to Garmin. The PIN is a security lock and Garmin will only unlock and return it to the registered owner ... who is not you. This is to prevent miscreants from stealing them and then selling them at, erm flea markets. You DID ask for proof of ownership, manuals etc from the flea market person didn't you?
