    Samsung g2 cannot dectect

Reboot your PC without the external hard drive first then pulg it in and it should reconize it. If nort then go to control panel and system and device and make sure the port is showing that it is connected and turn on. when you are at the device menu, disconnect and reconnect, that sometimes work to.

I have toshiba external hard drive but when i plug it my laptop wont work anymore it will hang.

    Hi

i would go to your device manager
then go to the top of that box and hover over the icons on the top right
one of those icons will say scan for new hardware
    so hit the scan icon
windows may or maynot reconize the external hard drive
then leaving the external drive plugged into the usb
restart the laptop and maybe windows will then reconize it

if not please come back to us again stating what operating system you have
