Disassemble Htc Touch

(my english is not very good)
Hi, I have a Htc Touch and my lcd screen is broken. I want to know how to disassemble my cellphone because I think that I will buy a new lcd screen and repair it but I don't find any direction on internet to disassemble a htc touch.. I hope that someone will help me!

My cellphone is a CDMA network so no sim card ... I don't know if there is a difference for disassemble this cell But maybe its the same direction for a GSM (with a sim card) and a CDMA

    Unfortunately, the disassemblyh link is no longer good. I have developed a small gray sploch/smudge on the inside of the screen and would like to disassemble but cannot find instructions. Any assistance? Thanks.

    discoverd phone was submerged in water. luckly device was powered off. tried to dry as much as possible. touch function didn't work for a few hours now it does, however the SEND and END buttons don't work. Glad to have the touch function working. Now looking for tools to open device.

Replace screen
Replacing the LCD of a phone is a bit tricky. Some times LCD are soldered into the board and sometimes it's just a putty type. To know what type your LCD connection is, you must see deep inside the board. To do this you have to open your cellphone. Do not just Pry open your phone, one way to safely open your phone is by using google. Yep, that's right. Search for a teardown of your phone model i.e: Nokia 7230 teardown. This helps you to disassemble your cellphone. Now when you see what type the connection of your LCD is, it's up to you if you want to personally do it, or let the technician do it. You can buy cellphone scraps from ebay or Amazon. Good luck mate, I hope this helps!

The touch screen does not work
Hi,

When the touch screen on your phone is malfunctioning,it indicates that the inner touch pad embedded with the LCD screen is bad hence the touch screen will not respond to any touch whatsoever.


However,the only solution is to disassemble the phone and replace the LCD screen of your phone to restore it back to a normal working condition.

Touch screen broken
LCD is inside the front glass that has logo of htc

the upper glass is called touch panel or digitizer it is working as u say but lcd is broken u can see visible cracks on it and it may partially display or not at all then ur lcd is broken by pressure or impact u need to get it replaced around like 100-150 dollars depends on the model and size of the lcd screen

Your phone is a chinesse copy of HTC P3450, if you see the battery say HTG not HTC, lcd for HTC do not work. Sorry I have the same problem and I has not find replacement.
