It could be a number of issues. These saws have a built in vari-torque clutch used to prevent kickbacks. Basically, when the blade binds while cutting, the arbor spins but the blade won't (prevents kick-back). It works by not over tightening the blade washer (this is the slip clutch), if you over tighten, the blade washer can't prevent kick-backs because it has no room to slip, if you under tighten, the arbor spins, but the blade won't. I'd try to tighten the blade washer 1/8 turn and see what that does. If your actual arbor shaft is not spinning, you could have a gear issue. If you hear the motor running and the arbor slips (not the slip clutch) sounds like there might be a gear issue,If the rotor is spinning (the part inside the stator-i.e. the electric motor section) but it is not transfering that movement to the arbor, it has to be a gear issue.

Why does the blade on my table saw slip

This is a very dangerous situation. There is only one answer: You have to tighten the nut on the drive shaft more securely. Also, many saws use some kind of compression washer with the nut. Make sure the compression washer is in place on the OUTSIDE of the saw blade under the nut.

My saw powers up but blade is not moving

Is it belt driven and the belt is slipping or broken?
Is the shaft nut holding blade on loose?
Reverse threads are used on the nut to hold the blade. Was the wrong nut used and the blade is not tight?
The bearing on the blade shaft could be frozen.
Some of the possibilities I could think of so I hope this helps.

DEWALT DW100 the blade slips off the driving wheel

There are some possible reasons why the blade slips off. Check the wheel alignment of the saw. If the wheels are not aligned, you have to loosen the shafts to align the wheels and re-secure the wheels to the shafts. Once the wheels are aligned, make sure that the deepest gullet of the blade is on the center on the tire. Then tyr turning the wheels by hand. Check your tires for wear and the tension as well. Bandsaw blade constantly slipping off

Possible causes:
- Tires: If the tire(s) on either of the pulleys are worn, torn or have chuncks out of them, the blade can slip off.
- Pulley(s) out of line: If either or both pulleys are out of alignment the blade will work it's way off. This could be caused by a worn pulley hub; a worn or broken pulley axel; or worn, broken or frozen bearings where the axels turn. On the drive pulley this could include the bearings on the drive shaft or the boss where the bearings fit into.
- Blade: If there are any kinks or slight bends in the metal they could cause the blade to work off the pulley.

Mower blade is spinning loose is not connected to motor. did a stud brake cause not is tight

Don't ever run a mower with a loose blade. Most push mowers have a blade adapter that slips over the engine shaft and allows the fastening bolt (and it should be a special hardened one with 6 lines on the head of it) to thread into the end of the crankshaft. The adapter could have slipped and needs to be repositioned on the shaft so that the blade can be properly tightened.

Help please motor turns no problem but no drive to circular blade. Ideas please

Pulleys may be slipping on their respective shafts (missing keys or set screws loose?), or the belt is slack. Turn the blade by hand and observe where the drive is slipping. Hope this helps!

If the spindle is turning and the paddle is not then your paddle is worn out and probable slipping on the spindle. If the spindle isn't turning then your problem is underneath the pan or inside the drive and your paddle may be fine.

Making Dough

Yes, it is the S-blade. I can't find my manual either and I have been trying to figure out how to get it onto the shaft!! The Hamilton Beach website says it should slip down the shaft once the bowl is attached, but I have a white piece on top of the metal I can not remove and the s-blade will not slip over it.
