Most modern motherboards dont have removable BIOS modules. However they can be updated in the Windows. Visit the manufacturers website and download the appropriate BIOS update. Here is the link.

Dont know that how to connect the front pannel switch socket to the motherboard pins for pintium 4 computer

Is it an ECS PM800-M2 motherboard?

Uses a VIA motherboard chipset, (VIA PM800 / Northbridge chip, and VIA VT8237 / Southbridge chip)

http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=453&MenuID=24&LanID=0

If so suggest you download the Motherboard User Manual.
Click on the - Download - tab.
(Features / Specification / Download / Cerification / FAQ / etc)

Click on the blue - Manual
(Driver / BIOS / Manual)

Go to the Bottom file -
English manual for PM800-M2
Release Date: 2004/5/3

To the Right of - Download - click on the country name nearest yours.
(Yeah, I know. Europe is not a country, it's a continent)

A small window will come up -
Opening PM800-M2_10.zip

Make SURE there is a Green dot in the small circle, to the left of Save File.
IF not; click in the empty circle to the left of Save File.
No go below in the window, and click on OK.

A small download window will come up.
Allow the file to fully download, then DOUBLE-click right on the file name.
In the next small window go to the far left, and click on -
Extract all files.

At the bottom of the next 3 small windows, click on -
Next, Next, and Finish.

[DO NOT change anything in the second small window.
Windows knows where to put the file.
Just click on Next ]

In the last small window, there will be a red Adobe PDF icon, and the file name next to it.
DOUBLE-click right on the file name.

You are now looking at a PDF file version, of the Motherboard Manual.

The front of your computer is the Front Panel.
The area of contact pins on the motherboard, that the Main wires from the Front Panel go to, is the Front Panel header.

If you cannot figure out the Front Panel header pinout, post back in a Comment.

Can't get ECS PM800-M2 to boot to SATA drive.

You need to make sure that your SATA drive has an Operating system on it. It can't boot if it only has a data drive.
