Whenever I take videos with my Nikon Coolpix L10 camera it looks fine when I watch them on the camera but when i transfer them to my computer they freeze in the middle
Not really a solution but I had a Coopix that worked perfectly fine. Even the videos work . It was stolen and I replaced it with another Coolpix. Now I have the "freeze" problem. The new camera videos freeze and the old camera videos do not freeze. So it is NOT the PC. It is not Quicktime. I suspect the problem has to do with the transfer of the video or reader format that works in the camera but not when transferred off camera. There must be a driver or firmware issue but none are available for the coolpix camera as it is older. I am going to trash this camera. I liked it because it had a selectable picture or video switch. In the newer cameras this selection is done by the menu button and that button fails. (it did on my stolen one). Get a new camera. Not a Nikon.
I think the problem is your pc. Can you view the video on the camera with out freeze it?
