Go to Settings--->Connectivity--->Wifi--->Search for Wifi.
activate any Wifi in range and if its ask for the security code you need to enter it or its is unsecured you will directlyconnect to Wifi and you can check your email ,or use internet also.

Samsung released two versions of star, one with out wifi and the one with wifi. If you want the one with wifi, you need to buy the S5233w and not the S5233s. Hope this helps. :)
You have to switch on the wifi on you phone and it will automatically detect all available wireless internet connection around you, then you choose the one you prefer.
