SOURCE: put the wrong oil in my riding lawn mower. Should

It should be OK, provided no damage was done to the engine when you ran it. Hopefully, you caught it quickly. Just to be on the mechanically safer side, I'd change the oil again. If your mower is equipped with a filter and you didn't change it after the 2 cycle happening, change it, too. If you have a filter, always fill the filter with oil before you mount it if the orientation of the filter allows. Fill the engine with oil. Check and start. There may still be some smoking until you clear the residue out, and you may even have to clean your spark plug(s) a time or two. You should see a gradual improvement in your exhaust plume. If any damage had occurred to your engine, you will likely hear abnormal sounds. If this is the case, shut the mower down immediately and investigate forther, with your local professional.
Best Regards! --W/D--

What oil to use for a yardworks gas mower 060-1648, 060-1649, 060-1658

Hi , There's two different types of mower oil, There's the oil for the sump (4 stroke mowers ONLY) Ask at the local lawn mower repair store for the oil type and the 2 stroke grade, it's just two stroke oil you add to the gas (2 stroke mowers ONLY) If you own a 2 stroke mower then yes you actually add the oil to the gas before you put it in the gas tank (25 to 1 ratio) but If you own a 4 stroke mower then NO you DON'T put the oil in the gas tank. There is (two) capes, 1 for the gas and the 2nd cap is there somewhere for the oil.... Have a look at the link below... CHEERS..

30 wt. automotive engine oil. The same as you put in your car only use straight 30 wt. not a multigrade 10 w 20 .

Dont know what type of oil to use

Put straight 30 weight motor oil in it. Not 10W30 or any multi-viscosity oil. Straight 30 weight motor oil. If you're doing a complete oil change, then you may want to use Synthetic 30 weight, which will last longer between oil changes and also make your engine last longer (but it costs more too). Best of luck to you.
