Don't know what type of vehicle this is but could be a transponder chip. Usually no cranck conditions are bad battery, wiring to starter, starter, starter relay and ignition switch
Your car may not start for a number of reasons. The
following list outlines the most common circumstances and tells you what
action you can take to try to remedy each situation:
The car is silent when you turn the key in the ignition. Check the battery terminal cable connections
If they look very corroded, force the point of a screwdriver (with an
insulated or wooden handle) between the connector and the terminal post
and twist it to lodge it firmly. Then try to start the engine. If it
starts, you need to clean or replace your cables.
The car makes a clicking noise but won't start. This sound usually means a dead battery. If not, check the wiring to and from the starter for a loose connection.
The car cranks over but won't start. Check the fuel supply to your engine. If that's okay, check whether the electrical spark is getting to your sparkplugs.
The engine starts but dies. If your car has a carburetor, check your carburetor adjustment and your choke to see whether the choke is first closing and then opening. If you have fuelinjection
What happenes when you try to jump start the vehicle? If it starts - then it is most likely the battery or alternator. If it doesn't start then the solenoid or the starter or the engine. To get it down to the starter or engine - disconnect the serpentine belt and turn the crankshaft with a wrench. If it turns - then it is your starter/solenoid.
Check ALL Grounds, Start @ Battery and Work your way around the Engine Compartment, Look for Coroded Connections / Loose ones also, there is A Black SINGLE PLUG in the Battery Area that comes Directly FROM the NEGATIVE Terminal of the BATTERY that is Problematic if it gets Moisture in it and A CYCLE of Connect & Disconnections When Cleaned with Carb Cleaner Will Correct this Poor Connection Problem. BODY GROUNDS are Also Ones to Look at. What you Discribe Is Indicative Of A POOR GROUND CAUSING the NO SPIN @ Starter. Remember that the on your Vehicle's Starter Requires at Liest 200 Amps to Start it.>>>>>> My Point being that Just Because all Electrical Components May be working Doesnt Mean the Starter Will Crank the Engine, The STARTER is the Highest Amprage DRAWING Component On ANY VEHICLE Thus A GOOD GROUND IS A MUST. This Will Help Lead you to the CAUSE<<<<<<<<< Assuming you have Charged and LOAD TESTED the Battery and it IS GOOD.
Hello! I suspect there is a resistive connection on the + battery cable and/or the - battery cable connections to the starter motor which are temperature sensitive...Using a digital volt meter (cost $25-30 if you do not have one)...Put the DC voltage scale on it's lowest setting...Place + probe on the center of the battery post...Place the - probe on the starter motor + connection...Must read no more than .03 volts...Perform the same test on the - battery post...With the - meter probe on the starter case...Must read less than .06 volts...If readings are incorrect the problem is as stated...And cables need to be replaced...
Make sure the battery is fully charged. If it starts by jump starting it. Your battery needs to be replaced. If it turns really slow, the starter needs replacement.
are they the same engines? and i mean exactly the same? if the arent the same maybe check and look at the starter ring gear and count the teeth...also check the camshaft sprocket...is it different?
