You could do like my wife did on an old scope of mine, run your finger into it, but then all you see is clear. the olny thing you mght ry is to roatate the scope clockwise about 45 degrees or replace the scope. you might contact Simmons, they might replace the scope for you. Good luck.

Any scope will work on any gun. Its effectiveness requires your to match capability with need. A rimfire scope is intended for a 50 yard zero. If you expect to do most of your shooting at 50 yards, it will work fine.

There are two sights on your BSA Meteor air rifle. One at the end of the barrel and one at the end of the stock. They should be set correctly when the gun was first made. You may want to buy a laser sight and see where the sights line up to then carefully bend the rear sight to line up correctly.

Are you sure its a bb gun and not a pellet gun? Usually bb guns have a magnet on the bolt, that keep the bbs from falling out. Pellets don't roll so the won't roll out the barrell.

now then,,,did the crosshairs move or did the scope slip back out of line? if the mounts were not tight then its likley to be the scope slipping back but if the crosshairs moved were they just setteling or are they moving,,if there realy moving the scope is claped out or shook apart inside,,,how big is your rifle you put this scope on? 357mag??? i have a simmons scope on a 7.62 and on a .303 enfield rifle its ok on them?
