Blackberry Pearl problem.....

Problem:
When I enter in all my schedule on my blackberry Pearl (appointments),
and hit save in the menu, it will not take me back to the calendar view and
it will only bring me to the main screen. Then gives me this message
"uncaught exception:net.rim.device.api.system.objectGroupReadOnlyException"

I am with T-mobile and they have no clue - and Blackberry Pearl support system is terrible and I can not get answers....
Please help......Stephen

It does the same thing to me, except for my messages...

  • Anonymous Apr 25, 2008

Exactly the same error message when creating or amending a Calendar appointment. I have a Pearl 8100

  • karinan May 05, 2008

I have been getting the exact same error when trying to save events to the calendar. It takes two attempts to save the event to my calendar. While the event is saved, I do not get any reminders.

  • queenbsa Jun 09, 2008

I had the same problem where it took two save and then received the ReadOnly Exception error. I did a hard reset by removing the battery, then rebooting. I can save appointments without getting the error, but my reminder STILL does not go off.

    Plan B anyone??

Free unlock of blackberry pearl 8100

Option # 3: T-Mobile or Cingular, your carrier
Yes, you can ask your carrier for an unlock code for your Blackberry and guess what, they do it for it Absolutely FREE. So, what is the catch? The only condition which atleast T-Mobile imposes on its customers before it gives out the unlock codes for the Blackberry Pearl or any other cell phone is that you have to be under the contract for atleast 90 days or 3 months before they can give you the unlock code. So, if you have the patience, I would recommend that you wait for this 3 month time frame before calling up 611 from your T-Mobile phone, talk to customer service and get your unlock codes.
In my search for the Blackberry Unlock codes, I found out that a lot of people mess up before they have no idea how to enter the unlock codes correctly. So, follow this method to enter your Blackberry Unlock code
