Have you checked the bios to see if hard-drive is listed?
If you are looking in windows "My Computer".
Hard drive will not show if no partition is on it.
Create partition and format.

Windows doesnt like hardware changes. and specially if your useing a 32bit windows it doesnt support more than 3.0-9GB of ram. you need 64bit windows to work on 4GB or more.

There is something pluged in wrong in my Compaq Presario SR5130NX tower and i need a picture showing how to plug in all the drives to the motherbord

If its an IDE cable (Flat wide one) ensure the last drive (Operating system) one is plugged in here set to MASTER, with the slave drive connected along this ribbon set to SLAVE.

If SATA cable usually narrow and red plug into any SATA port on the mobo, doesnt matter which order.

How do i reformat C drive and keep my files on sata backup

dis connect the sata cable that attaches the sata hard drive to the pci card and then format c and re install with all the drivers you require for the pci card as well as motherboard drivers, network card drivers etc and then re attach the sata cable that way you dont get confused between which drives its showing if it manages to display the sata drive at boot up.

blue screen means system error or hardware problem. maybe your sata drive is the problem. try to use another sata drive.

Bios doesnt show sata drive

remove the cmos battery and clear the cmos memory using jumper(it presents near cmos battery ,refer manual of motherboard)
restart the pc-now cmos setting screen appearce
save the bios settings usin F10 or refer onscreen
shutt down the pc ,reset the battery and jumper in original place
start the pc
now try
