Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet
Memory (RAM) is the most important part of a system. The more the memory the stronger the system.
You can buy a physical memory(RAM) and install it, which faster and more reliable but a bit expensive.
But wait you can increase your memory by allocating a size of the Hard disk which is absolutely free but not as fast as RAM.
I must tell you that Virtual Memory can't be compared to Physical Memory. Physical Memory is way faster and most reliable.
But still whats bad in allotting it for free.
To increase your memory in XP you just follow my easy 1-2-3 recipe:
1. Open My Computer
2. Right Click and select properties.
3. A new window appears click on the tab named "Advanced"
4. Click the first button named "Settings"
5. A new window appears now select the tab named "Advanced"
6. Click the button named "Change" at almost the bottom of the window
7. Click the Radio Button Named "Custom Size:"
8. Depending on your Hard disk write the amount but let me tell you the recommended amount Initial 753 and Maximum 1506.
9. Click all the Oks
10. You're done now re-boot your system.
Please try this at your own risk although I have tested this and many others as well, I have never encountered any problem, but some people cross the limits make the virtual look like a Hard disk which is not possible and can be harmful
